It was a naval battle in the Pacififc Ocean six months after the attack on Pearl Harbor lasting for four days. The battle was between the U.S. and the Japanese with Japan losing the fight with more than 3,000 casualties, 5 ships destroyed and 248 aircrafts destroyed. -
