After getting caught, Cura Hidalgo goes to the church and gives out the shout for independence. This is what officially started the Mexican Independence. -
Captura de Alohndiga de Granaditas
Hidalgo's army closed in on Guanajuato, there they took control of the Alohndiga de Granadita to get weaponds. The pipila was the man who burnt the door down. -
Battle of Mont de las Cruces
This was a battle between Hidalgo's plus Allende's troops against the peninsulares and royalist troops. This happened near Toluca. -
Retreat from Mexico city
When their ammunitions exploded, Hidalgo's army had te escape and head up north to Coahuila. The spanished followed them and took Hidalgo prisoner. -
Hidalgo is Executed
After Hidalgo was captured, he was tried for Holy treason. Because a member of the church could not be executed. After being tried he was executed and they hung his head. -
New Leader (Jose Maria Morelos)
Jose Maria Morelos took over the independence movement, he had gueriila tactics for fighting. He later got captured and executed like Hidalgo. -
Plan de Iguala
The plan de Iguala was accepted, to start the Independence movement in a diplomatic way. -
Emperor Iturbide
Iturbide was a smart man who seeked power, he got it by becoming the new Mexican emperor after fighting for 11 years.
