  • Impressment of Sailors

    The Impressment of Sailors is when Great Britain was attacking American ships that came form France and France was attacking American ships that came from Great Britain. Neither sides were moved by Washington's speech of Neutrality.
  • Washington's Proclamation Speech of Neutrality

    It was a speech presented by George Washington that helped to keep the United States out of a war that they weren't ready for. This was a speech of Neutrality, meaning that Washington was not trying to pick either Great Britain or France as an ally in the war.
  • Jay's Treaty(Ratification Date)

    Jay's Treaty, which was created by John Jay, was an attempt to gain Great Britain as an ally, so that they could trade with each other. The result of this trade would be Great Britain removing their troops and the two countries no longer being at war with each other.

    There was an assault on British forces. This decision was made by the new President Andrew Jackson. This was because the end of the war spread slowly around the nations. The result was that it stopped British invasion on the frontier.
  • Treaty of Ghent

    Treaty signed by the British and Americans that ended the War of 1812. It gave the land back to the designated countries.
