It was a speech presented by George Washington that helped to keep the United States out of a war that they weren't ready for. This was a speech of Neutrality, meaning that Washington was not trying to pick either Great Britain or France as an ally in the war. -

Treaty signed by the British and Americans that ended the War of 1812. It gave the land back to the designated countries.
