Hitler leads the Nazi Party
1921 gets elected the new leader of the Nazi party beginning his reign of terror. -
Appeasement
The policy of making concessions to the dictatorial powers in order to avoid conflict. -
Genocide
The genocide in World War Two was the holocaust, lead by Adolf to kill Jews, if he had focused on the war effort he probably would of won the war due to the Germans technological advancements. For example Germany simply ran out of time before they could make an atomic bomb and made weapons such as jets and rockets. -
Kristallnacht
Acts of violence against the Jews and one of the worst attacks occurred November 9th, 1938. It’s known as the “Night of Broken Glass” (Kristallnacht). A German diplomat killed by a Jewish refugee in Paris and in response to this Nazi officials ordered attacks on Jews in Germany, Austria, and the Sudetenland. -
Neutrality Act 1939
Limit U.S. involvement in future wars.Were based on the belief that the U.S was pulled into the war through loans and trade with allies. (November 4th 1939) -

When the U.S. gave supplies to the allies. The aid was to be repaid after war. (March 11th 1941) -

1942 Stalin decides to join the allied powers after getting invaded by Germany -
Dwight Eisenhower
November 1942 Eisenhower is appointed supreme commander of the allied forces in North Africa defeating the axis powers. -
United Nations
United Nations (1945)- Increase political and economic cooperation among member countries. This helps improve human rights and reduce global conflict. -
Unconditional surrender
Unconditional surrender - 5/7/1945 Germany surrendered - This is when a party surrenders and that party gets no guarantees. I think when Germany surrendered it was unconditional because they didn't get a say in the post war world. -

Universal Declaration of human rights
Universal Declaration of human rights- Represents the first global expression of rights to all human beings. The Declaration consists of thirty articles. International treaties, economic transfers , regional human rights instruments, national constitutions, and other laws. (December 10th 1948)
