OJ Simpson Trial
OJ Simpson had to go to court after he was accused of killing his ex wife Nicole Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman. He was filed not guilty. After the trial the Brown (Nicole's family) and the Goldman (Ron's Family) families filed a lawsuit and OJ lost resulting in the loss of 52.3 million dollars.(2018 Money) -
9/11
On 9/11/2001 two airplanes flew into the north and south twin towers, resulting in the death of 2,996 people and the fall of the twin towers. The attack was orchestrated by al Qaeda leader Osa ma bin Laden. -
My Birthday
I was born on March 6, 2006 at 11:25 AM, I was 7 lbs 8 oz, and was born at the Timpanogos Hospital. My mother had an induced labor and her water broke at 8:10 PM. My parents knew what they wanted to name me months before I was born. They knew that my name was going to start with an "A" and knew that my name was going to be Adilyn, but they didn't know how they were going to spell it. Eventually they knew they were going to name me Adilyn Marie Robinson. (P.S. that picture is actually me.) -
The Gulf Oil Explosion
On April 22, 2010 a BP oil rig exploded, killing 11 people and injuring 17. More than 200 million gallons of oil was dumped into the oceans. After the explosion some people tried to control the spread of the oil. They used floating booms to contain surface oil and chemical oil dispersants and tried to break down the oil underwater. That helped a little bit but the oil still spread to beaches and animals would die because of it. -
Getting Stitches
One day I was at my friends house and we were jumping on his trampoline. One of his brothers or sisters with their friends decided to start jumping with us. I got double bounced and flew off of the tramp. I landed on my stomach on the ground and my chin had landed on a cinder block that was propping up the trampoline. Long story short, I went inside and my friends mom saw my chin so she took me home and explained to my parents what had happened and I needed to get stitches on my chin. -
Getting a Dog
My mom really got our dog for us in November but, we didn't know he was ours until December. She got our dog Frodo and gave him to our aunt so she could potty train him before we got him. Once a week we would go to her house and do "puppy classes" and learn how to train Frodo and deal with bad behavior. Finally when could take him home, my mom brought him into our house and when she told us that the whole time he had been our dog, I couldn't believe it! Now we have had Frodo for almost 7 years. -
Moving
When I was eight, me and my sisters had these really cool walkie talkies that we would spy on our parents with. One day when I was spying I saw that my parents were looking at houses on the computer. I reported my finds into my walkie talkie, but I did not want to move. Fast forward and we have our house sold. We are living in my grandparents house and looking for houses. We were also considering building, but when we toured our current house, we loved it so much that we bought it. -
First day of 8th grade
On my first day of 8th grade I brought home 50 million disclosure documents. I also met up with my friends from 7th grade and met my new teachers. I liked all of them and did not change my schedule. and I don"t think I will need to this semester.
