    Boston tea party
    The Boston tea party is an important event of the American history. Their was several events that led to to the American revolution and the Boston tea party was one. When colonist decided to stand up against the injustices of Great Britain had burdened them with they decided it was time to fight back. If it wasn’t for the parliament taxes the colonist maybe wouldn’t have had a reason to go to war. It was the beginning of the revolution, where Americans came out independent of British rules
  • The United States Army is established.

    The United States Army is established.
    It was mainly done for military operations and battles on land.
    The U.S. Army fought the Indian Wars of the 1790s.
    The American Revolutionary War began in April 1775, and the colonial revolutionaries did not have an army.
    It is the oldest service of the United States military ever.
    The Army has evolved and grown from this small militia force into the world's premier fighting force
  • Declaration of Independence

    Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of Independence is one of the most important documents in American history.It stated several ideals that colonist thought were needed for man to have which was liberty and equality. It also gave us the right to go to war with England to be able to obtain our freedom. It demonstrates the major ideas that the founders had about government. It is because of that document that women are now treated the same as men and that races are treated equally.

    The Treaty of Paris
    Signed in Paris by representatives of Great Britain and representatives of United States.
    The Treaty of Paris ended the American Revolutionary War.
    The Treaty established 10 articles related to the Peace between the countries.
    It was the first attempt to write a peace treaty in America.
    Great Britain finally gave formal recognition to its former colonies as a new and independent nation: the United States of America.
  • Constitution of the United States of America

    Constitution of the United States of America
    The U.S. Constitution was prepared in secret, behind locked doors that were guarded by sentries.
    The U. S Constitution was written in the same Pennsylvania State House.
    The U.S Constitution is the supreme law and it has seven articles.
    The Constitution affirm that the government exists to serve its citizens.
    The first three words of the Constitution are "We the people".

    Louisiana purchase
    The Louisiana purchase of 1803 was a deal between France and the United States. This agreement was France agreeing to sell a large amount of land known as the Louisiana territory to the United States. The Louisiana purchase increased the size of the United States making it appear larger to other nations it was a benefit as well since it gained control of more land for farming and natural resources. This is considered one of the most important achievement of Thomas Jefferson presidency.

    The California gold rush was the biggest impacts to the mass migration in America history, it brought about 300,000 people go California. It brought tons of workers as well. The gold rush began because of a discovery of significant gold deposits near Sacramento. The gold rush of California is set to have put the state on the map. It was a big increase of population and that’s why California became a state.

    The civil war which was also known for the war between the states. The fight was between the United States of América and the confederate states of America. The legislation of the civil war led to 13th, 14th and 15th amendment to the United stated constitution. The civil war main importance is that it ended slavery in the southern state. Since people in north believed slavery shouldn’t exist in the other hand the south wanted to continue with slavery.

    WWI began after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand.
    The first battle of WWI was the Battle of Marne and was France and British against Germany.
    The WWI started when Austria-Hungary threatened war on Serbia.
    The Battle of the Somme is known as one of the bloodiest battles in history and it belongs to the WWI.
    Women weren’t allowed to join the army, but the WWI still completely changed their lives.
  • The Great Migration

    6 millions of African American started to migrate.
    This Migration was set in motion by the labor shortage during World War I.
    The Harlem Renaissance movement of the 1920s was a big cause of the Migration.
    The Chicago blues scene was the result of Mississippi migrators.
    Black migrants were often discriminated.

    The stock market crash of 1929
    The stock market crash of 1929 was one of the worst stock market crashes in the history of the United States it was a four day collapse.Many people lost their homes and all their savings. Many banks that had invested in the stock market or loaned money to the investors went out of business. It was more then the total cost of World War I. This big Impact led to the Great Depression that lasted about 10 years.
  • The Manhattan project

    The Manhattan project
    In 1945 the United States dropped two atomic bombs on Japan which was to end world war ll, they feared that nazi Germany might build a nuclear weapon during WWII which was what caused them to start with the Manhattan project. This was led by the United States with the support of the United Kingdom and Canada. The two bombs were named “little boy” which was dropped on Hiroshima and “fat man” Was dropped on Nagasaki.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Pearl Harbor
    In December 7,1941 hundreds of Japanese fighters planes descended on the base where they destroyed nearly 20 American naval vessels including battleships and hundreds of airplanes. Japanese government decided to attack Pearl Harbor after the United States cut of US oil exports to Japan, attacking Pearl Harbor they hoped to destroy the US pacific fleet. US president Roosevelt called it’s a date that would live in infamy. This attack led the United States to enter world war ll.
  • Truman replaced Wallace

    Truman replaced Wallace
    Truman from Missouri was nominated to be president.
    Wallace served as Vice President for four years and He almost became the nation's president.
    Wallace was against the Cold war.
    He would have been the most radical president in the U.S History.
    Truman made the decision to use the atomic bomb against Japan.

    The Cold War
    The Cold War was waged on political, economic, and propaganda fronts and had only limited recourse to weapons.
    The term was used to describe increasingly fraught relationships between European countries.
    Although the United States and the Soviet Union never declared war, they fought indirectly.
    The Cold War began after the WWI because WWI left issues that caused the Cold War.
    The United States and the Soviet Union also tried to fight the Cold War by demonstrating its power and technology.
  • The Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    The Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki
    The Nagasaki bomb, killed an estimated of 40,000 people.
    The explosion of Hiroshima wiped out 90 percent of the city and immediately killed 80,000 people.
    The United States detonated two nuclear weapons over the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
    The United States dropped the bomb with the consent of the United Kingdom.
    It was the first use of nuclear weapons in wartime and till date remains the only one.
  • North Atlantic Treaty is signed (NATO)

    North Atlantic Treaty is signed (NATO)
    This signing meant that the U.S was finally making an International alliance in peacetime.
    The Treaty was signed in Washington D.C.
    The treaty was created with an armed attack by the Soviet Union against Western Europe.
    The United States established it with 11 more countries.
    Unfortunately, the United States and the Soviet Union began to deteriorate rapidly.
  • John F. Kennedy assassination

    John F. Kennedy assassination
    The 35th President of the United States was assassinated on November 22, 1963, at 12:30 p.m. Central Standard Time in Dallas, Texas.
    He was riding through Dealey Plaza in a presidential motorcade.
    John F. Kennedy got shoot by a former U.S. Marine Lee Harvey Oswald.
    Kennedy's wife witnessed the death of her husband the president since she was right next to him.
    Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson automatically assumed the Presidency upon Kennedy's death.
  • Vietnam War

    The Vietnam War was fought between communist North Vietnam and the government of Southern Vietnam.
    The North was supported by China and the Soviet Union.
    The South was principally supported by The United States.
    The United States lost the Vietnam War.
    The United States lost prestige in the eyes of the world.
  • Apollo 11

    Apollo 11
    Armstrong and Aldrin spent almost a full day on the Moon's surface.
    After returning to earth, the astronauts had to be placed into quarantine.
    The landing was watched on television by an estimated 600 million people.
    They were three astronauts sent to the moon but just two of them stepped on it.
    The astronauts returned to Earth with the first samples from another planetary body.
