    On that day signed an armistice agreement with its allies ending the first world war.

  • 19th Ammendment

    This amendment allowed women to have the same rights as men. This included voting.

  • Formation of the United Nations

    This was a group of over 50 nations that got together to discuss world power and rules and rights everyone should get. It is still being used today.

  • Charles Lindbergh's Flight

    He was the first man to cross the Atlantic alone. He started at Long Island and ended in Paris, it took 36 hours.

  • Model T

    This was the first car or automobile that was affordable for Americans. It was invented my by Henry Ford. It changed the way people got around and soon a lot of Americans had them.

  • Russians Make an Atomic Bomb

    The Russians make an atomic bomb and set it off in a test area. It was a good bomb, now everyone was scared of Russia because they had a lot of power.

    This was the day that started the big market crash and great depression. A bunch of stocks in New York were traded by panicted investors causing a crash.

    When the depression hit hard in 1932 1/4th of Americans didn't have jobs. When Roosevelt was elected he immediately made a bunch of programs to help the people.

    Hitler is "crowned" chancellor under fuhrer Paul Von Hindenburg

    It was a pact made with France and Germany that delayed the war but Czechoslovakia was taken.

  • Hitler Invades Poland

    Hitler attacks Poland from all sides and this is what starts WWII

  • Pearl Harbor

    On this day hundreds of Japanese planes came and destroyed our navy and planes based in Pearl Harbor Hawaii. It killed 2,000, but we were able to get back up on our feet quickly and we declared war on Japan.

    Was when america and other allied forces dropped from planes along the 50 mile beach of Normandy, many troops lost their lives but a lot made it to storm the beach.

  • Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    This was when America dropped 2 atomic bombs for payback from pearl harbor, one on each city. It instantly killed 40,000 people.

    It was an allianced us with 12 other countries. It was created for defense against Russia.

    This was a civil war between Korea against Communism. It split the country in half and now the northern top of Korea is communist

    It was a 13 day almost war thing. Russia had missiles is Cuba that we didn't like. We came to an agreement that if they get the bombs off Cuba then we wouldn't take over Cuba.

    This made all schools and public facilities open for anyone no matter your race.

  • Rosa Parks

    She refused to give up her seat to a white guy on a city bus. She helped lead civil right movements. She also lead a boycott by not riding the buses.

    This war was started by communism again like the Korean. We aided the war with south Vietnam. The north won, but really different changed. Life just went back to normal for the Vietnamese.

    The internet was invented by a bunch of people. It came throughout time. Before it was used during war for contact and information. Now its world wide.

    He was the 35th president of america. While he was in Dallas Texas he was shot in his car.

  • Gulf of Tonkin Resolution

    The president of Johnson of America wanted to extend the Vietnamese war.

  • Apollo 11 Moonlanding

    Neal Armstrong and Edwin Buzz were the first men to ever set foot on the moon.

  • Watergate Break-ins

    In morning of this day some burglers broke into the democrat head quarters and tried taking documents. They think they were helping Nixon get re elected.

  • Nixon's Resignation.

    Nixson resigned because of all the pressure people were giving him about the Watergate break in. Instead of being impeached he just resigned himself.

  • Fall of the Berlin Wall

    It was taken down as the Cold War was ending. After a very long time of it being up, Russia announced people could leave and go so they tore it down instead.

  • 9/11

    2 terrorist hijacked planes flew into the twin towers. killing over 3,500 people.
