    Telegram uncovered from German Prime Minister Zimmerman to Mexico. Essentially says that if America joins WW1 then Mexico and Germany should make an alliance to fight on American soil.
  • World War 1 Armistice

    Ends the first World War.
  • 19th Amendment

    Gives right to vote to women.
  • Charles Lindbergh's Flight

    Flew nonstop from New York City to Paris.
  • Black Thursday

    Investors panicked and sold all their stocks and started the Wall Street Crash and Great Depression.
  • Hitler Becomes Chancellor of Germany

    Signifies Hitler's rise to power and initiating the Nazi regime.
  • New Deal

    Directly addressed the unemployment of the Great Depression by creating millions of jobs through government programs.
  • Munich Pact

    Agreement between Germany, the UK, France and Italy that gave Germany Czechoslovakia.
  • Hitler Invades Poland

    Hitler marches through and takes over Poland. Start of WW2.
  • Pearl Harbor

    Japanese aircraft bomb the American navy stationed in Pearl Harbor. Pushed America to join WW2.
  • D-Day

    Combined effort to retake France by the Allies. Largest seaborn invasion ever.
  • Hiroshima and Nagasaki

    American B-29's drop 2 atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9. Kills hundreds of thousands of civilians and many more through radiation poisoning.
  • Formation of United Nations

    Creates an organization between 50 nations that is dedicated to international security.
  • Formation of NATO

    The North Atlantic Treaty Organization is a military alliance between 30 countries spread across North America and Europe.
  • The Long Telegram

    Explains US Policy towards communism and marks the beginning of the Cold War.
  • Russians Acquire Atomic Bomb

    Start of the Cold War and arms race between America and Russia.
  • Korean War

    Communist North Korea and the Soviet Union invade South Korea and America comes to defend democracy from the spread of communism.
  • Brown v Board of Education

    Supreme Court declares segregation by the state is unconstitutional.
  • Vietnam War

    Essentially a war between all major communist and democratic powers. North Vietnam was backed by the Soviet Union and China while South Vietnam's allies were America, the Philippines and other anti-communist forces.
  • Rosa Parks Refuses to Give Up Her Seat

    Rosa Parks refuses to give her seat up to a white male passenger on a bus and is arrested. Inspires others to join the Civil Rights Movement.
  • Cuban Missile Crisis

    The Soviet Union places missiles in Cuba and created a standoff between America and the Soviet Union. It ended with JFK removing missiles in Turkey and the Soviets taking theirs away.
  • JFK's Assasination

    He was shot by Harvey Lee Oswald while driving through Texas.
  • Gulf of Tonkin Resolution

    Congress passed this resolution, which allowed LBJ to use any measures to keep Southeastern Asian peaceful.
  • Apollo 11 Moon Landing

    First humans to ever set foot on the Moon. They planted an American flag and collected many rocks and natural objects for scientific purposes.
  • Watergate Break-In

    Burglars, who were breaking into the Watergate Complex, were arrested and eventually traced to the Nixon reelection campaign and that broke most of the trust American's had in their government.
  • Nixon's Resignation

    Following the Watergate Scandal, Nixon resigned because all his political support was destroyed. He is the only president to ever do so.
  • Invention of the Internet

    The creation of the internet opened limitless possibilities to the world through communication and access to knowledge.
  • Fall of the Berlin Wall

    The Berlin Wall symbolized the Cold War and the tearing down of that wall was a symbol of the end of the Cold War and communism in Europe.
  • 9/11 Attack

    Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked several planes and crashed them into the twin towers and the Pentagon but the last one was headed towards Washington DC but crashed after passengers interfered.
  • COVID-19 Pandemic

    A new virus was officially recognized causing widespread fear and panic. The virus has killed over 350,000 people in the US alone and has left millions unemployed.
