This law gave Britain control over Indian company ships, and tea could only sold by specific merchants. The battle of Lexington and Concord were the first battles of the Revolutionary War. It occured on April 19 at Lexington; 700 British troops arrived and 70 militiamen were waiting, but then someone fired and 8 militiamen died. So, the British marched to Concord, but a battle occured at a bridge of North town, which British troops retreated from. Then 4,000 Minutemen lined the road from Concord to lexington and shot the retreating Redcoats.
