First New England Settlement
In 1607, the first succesfull settlement was established by the English Settlers. It later became known as Jamestown, and served as the foundation for which America was built. -

The French and Indian War can be known as the "The First World War," or more popularly as "The Seven Years War." Many countries including: Austria, England, France, Great Britain, Prussia and Sweden. This battle was ultimately over colonial domination and led to drastic consequences on both sides... the biggest being a weakened relationship between the 13 colonies and Royal Crown. -
"Shot Heard 'Round the World"
This is the event that marked the beginning of the American Revolution. After a lone shot of a gun, accidental or not, British soldiers opened fire on the Minute Men in Lexington leaving 8 dead. -
Declaration of Indepence
By signing the Declaration of Independence, the 13 British Colonies were declaring themselves independent states and no longer a part of the British Empire. -
Treaty of Paris
This treaty officially ended the American Revolutionary War betwen the United States and Great Britain. -
Louisiana Purchase
