    Cash and Carry Policy
    The Cash and Carry Policy was passed by Congreaa in 1939. This allowed countries to buy arms from the United States as long as they paid the US with cash upfront and carried the weapons on their own ships.

    France Falls To Germany
    In the summer of 1940 France had fallen to Germany. This gave Germany even more power and put the United States into the danger zone. The US and France were allies, causing the States to be alerted when France got defeated.
  • Selective Service and Training Act

    The Selective Service and Training Act was the United States first peacetime military draft. 16 million men ages 21 and 35 were registered and of these, 1 million were drafted for one year. They were only allowed to serve in the Western Hemisphere though.
  • Tripartite Pact

    Tripartite Pact
    The Triparitte Pact was made up of Gemany, Italy, and Japan. It was meant to keep the US out of the war. With this agreememnt each Axis nation agreed to defend each other upon attack.
  • Lend-Lease Plan

    The Lend- Lease Plan allowed the president to lend or lease arms and other supplies to countries whose defense was vital to the US. Isolationists were against it but most citizens favored it. Congress passed the act in March of 1941.
  • German Invasion of Soviet Union

    When the Soviet Union started recieving supplies to defend themselves against Germany, Hilter and his wolf packs struck. Hitler deployed hundreds of German submarines to attack supply ships. More and more shipd fell under invasion by Hitlers wolf packs earning the name of The German Invasion Of The Soviet Union.
