The British surrender and America has won. The spark that lights the fire of a new country. -

The continental congress gets together to wright the U.S. constitution that shows a basic government structure. The government was made in which the people hold the power. -
Bill of Rights
The continental congress got together and created 10 amendments. These first 10 amendments are called the Bill of Rights. -
Industrial Revolution
The beginning of mass production. Factories were made which allowed the north (had the most factories) put out a lot more products. -
Ft. Sumter
The first battle of the American Civil War. The south went and attacked a fort owned by the north. -
Emancipation Proclamation
A little document that Lincoln made that freed the slaves in southern states. Added another reason behind this war. -
South Surrenders
The south surrender at Appomattox Courthouse in VA. This ended the war and they were back together. -
Assassination of Lincoln
Five days after the war ended, Lincoln was shot and killed in a theater.
