Fugitive Slave Act is when slaves started running from there owners. -
• Kansas-Nebraska Act
The Kansas and Nebraska Act repealed the Missouri Compromise line. It let the people to decide if they want a free state or a slave state. -
Election of 1860
SInce the Republican wanted no slavery at all for the United States.. The Democratic party wanted slavery. So it was very hard to pick a predsident because one was with slavery the other was no slavery at all. -
Battle at Fort Sumter
The battle was between South Carolina and the Union. Since Carolina seperated from the Union. The Union wanted them back so the only way was to battle. -
The Monitor vs. The Merrimack
This battle happened when the Union tried to blockade Hampton roads. -
The Battle of Shiloh
This battle was the bloodest battles over the North and the South over slavery. -
The Emancipation Proclamation
The Proclamation said "that all persons held as slaves" within the rebellious states should be free. -
The Battle of Gettysburg
This battle started when the two Unions concide and had a battle for three days. -
The Thirteenth Amendment
The Thirteenth Amendment caused slavery to come to a end. -
Surrender at Appomattox
By this surrender it ended the American Civil War.
