Abraham Lincoln has officially become the next president of the united states. His election was quite controversial because he was in favor of the North's antislavery viewpoint which angered the south. His election was a catalyse for the Civil war. -
Battle of BulllRun
This battle was a resurgence for the Southern troops. The South won this fight which gave the confederacy a jolt of concordance that prolonged the civil war further. -
Gettysburg
This battle was seen as one of the most important of the entire civil war. The South has suffered a loss but continued to push towards Pennsylvania. General Lee pushed for attacks and was repeatedly defeated until they were forced to retreat.
