    Sundiata, the Hungering Lion

    The Mansa (Ruler) who established Mali's power was Sundiata. He raised an army of Horse-mounted warriors and he led them to many victories! He restored the trade with Gold in the Sahara. He also converted to Islam so he gained favor with the Muslim Merchant Class. He moved the capital of Mali to his birthplace, Niani. By his death in 1255 he created a large that efficiently managed all trade within the Sudan. All found within Textbook pages 360-361

    The Ottoman Empire

    The Ottoman Empire rose to power in 1260 (When Osman was born). The boy Osman was born into a Turkish Clan and grew to be a fierce warrior. This Event is significant because the Ottoman Empire was a pretty big deal and lasted form 1260 to November 11th 1918. All found within Textbook pages 375-380

    The Ming Dynasty

    The Ming Dynasty was one of China's greatest dynasties. When Zhu Yuanzhang (Founder of The Ming Dynasty) led his forces against the Mongols, he defeated them and lead various campaigns against rival Chinese and Mongols. When he was victorious he Established the Ming Dynasty and took the title Hongwu meaning "vast military power". This Event was important because The Ming Dynasty was very important in the advancment (and delay) of Chinese Culture and Technology. All found in pages 384-389

    Suleyman The Lawgiver

    Suleyman The Lawgiver was the greatest to ever rule the Ottoman Empire (Also called The Magnificent). He expanded the Empire greatly and dominated the Mediterranean. He ruled for 46 years. This Event is important because he was the greatest of the Rulers of the Great Ottoman Empire. All found within Textboook pages 376-377

    The Qing Dynasty

    The Qing Dynasty was China's last. When Peasants attempted a revolt against the oppressive Ming Empire The Manchu sent in forces to help then turned around and proclaimed China theirs! Even though the Manchu were Foreigners the still knew much about Chinese ways and adopted Confucian values. This event was important because it was China's last Dynasty.
