The Monitor vs. The Merrimack

The Emancipation Proclamation
The Emancipation Proclamation was issued on January 1, 1863. The Proclamation decalred that all people held as slaves with the rebellious states are and henceforward shall be free. The Thirteenth Amendment

Surrender at Appomattox
