The United States elected FDR as the President of the United States. He won with 23 million votes to Hoover's 16 million. -
Bonus Army
The Bouns Army consisted of World War I veterans and their families who traveled to Washington to be compensated for their service. They wer eventually forced out of Washington by tear gas and fire ordered by Hoover. -
Federal Securities Act
The Federal Securities Act required corporations to provide complete information on all stock offerings and made them liable for any misrepresentations. -
National Industrial Recovery Act
The NIRA provided money to states to creat jos in the constuction of schools and other commuity buildings. -
Dust Bowl Begins
Strong dust storms caused by the drought in the Great Plains and the overproduction of crops.The thick dust in the air caused dust pnuemonia, so many citiznes moved to California. -

The world's tallest dam was built in the Colorado River. It provided electricity and flood control. It also help grow Califonia's agriculture economy and provide electricity to power Las Vegas.
