Clayton Anti-Trust Act
Lengthened Sherman Anti-Trust Act's list of practices that were objectionable, exempted labor unions from being called trusts (as they had been called by the Supreme Court under the Sherman Act), and legalized strikes and peaceful picketing by labor union members. -
Paris Peace Conference and Treaty of Versailles
This was the most important of the peace treaties that brought World War I to an end. The Treaty ended the state of war between Germany and the Allied Powers. -
19th Amendment
It declares that “The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex. -
Immigration Act of 1924
Limited the number of immigrants allowed entry into the United States through a national origins quota. The quota provided immigration visas to two percent of the total number of people of each nationality in the United States as of the 1890 national census. -
Lindbergh flies the Atlantic solo
Charles Lindbergh became the first person to fly nonstop across the Atlantic Ocean because of an offer of $25,000 to anyone who could fly nonstop across the Atlantic Ocean.
