the Individual Education Plan
In 1975 schools were introduced to the IEP or the Individual Education Plan. The IEP was put in place to help every student with a disability of any kind would have an equal opportunity to have the same education as every other students. By helping students with disabilities the IEP will include specific details to better help the student in question. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The ADA act of 1990 was put in place so that students and individuals have access to recreation, employment, education, and other usual activities that mainstream students and individuals have. The ADA did not go into effect for some activities until after it became a low this was to give all companies time to comply with the law and adjust the way their policies were worded and displayed. The No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB)
The NCLB was passes by congress in 2001 and was then signed by President George W. Bush on January 8, 2002. It is now referred to as the Elementary and Secondary Education Act. In 2015 Congress passes the Every Student Succeeds Act that replace the NCLB to the ESSA. Each state must Test all students in grade3 to 8th and report the finding in the category of the NCLB.
