    My childhood
My dad had us move. I was at the age of 8. Everyone in my family is coming along. We are leaving for my dad to get a better job. We are leaving from Japan and are entering Angel Island once we begin our journey, I had to be okay with moving because I dont get a choice since I am only 8.
  • Packing Up and Leaving

    Packing Up and Leaving
We could take a small portion of our things that wasnt to large like furniture but could take a suitcase. We didnt take much since the ship was so packed full of people. I left family members behing but it wasnt my choice at all. Starting fresh was what my parents had wanted. The journey begain after we left home.

    Beginning My Journey
We just packed up and left all of the sudden. I was scared at the sudden moment. I enjoyed the outside with the trees and fields to play in. Leaving and going to a new world I had no clue of what to expect at all. Making it to the boat just got a fright in me just to turn back because of the loads of people going.
  • My Arrivel

    My Arrivel
We made it here and have docked at Angel Island. We are trying to get off the ship just like everyone else that is in a rush. We still have to regiester when we get off but thats all my paretns job. My brother and sister are excited only because they are 4 and 5. I wish we were back home but America seems normal to me and I am excited in a way for my family.
  • Starting My New Life off in Angel Island

Starting My New Life off in Angel Island
It took 19 days for us to make it across the Pacific Ocean to Angel Island. We didnt have to wait realy long to make it through the whole process. It took about 2 days which was a lot sooner then the Chinese. I was scared and didnt know what to do exactly at the time. I was ready for the new journey.
  • Beginning my new life

    Beginning my new life
We decided to stop and live right near San Fransico. My dad had found a nice job around there. We are able to live ina fairly nice house within the price range for everything else we need. All my brothers and sisters and I go to school. Living my new life is a lot easier than I had imagined it to turn out to be.
