During the 1830s Britain and France made accept treaties that gave them economic privileges.

    The Jungle is a book that exposed all of the horrors of the meat packing industry and how unsanitary it was. Upton Sinclair did seven weeks worth of research on location before he wrote "The Jungle". After he was done writing the book it was rejected by five different publishers.

They entered the war under the command of a Major General under the name of John J Pershing, he led over 2 million soldiers into France. Many Americans back home were in favor of the U.S. remaining neutral and not entering the war.
