  • mass production of cars

  • End of WWI

    The end of world war one came in 1919. The end of World War 1 was the end of 4 big empires: German, Austro-Hungarian, Russian and Ottoman.
  • Invention of television

    Scottish inventor John Logie Baird had been the first to invent the electromechanical television system in 1928 in London.
  • Market Crash of 1929

    On March 25, 1929, there was a mini stock market crash and this was just a prelude to the real thing. On October 24, the stock prices crashed. When a crowd gathered out the front of the stock exchanged on Wall Street, where they were all stunned by the downturn.

    The great depression stretched from 1929 to the early 1940s. This tragedy forced millions of Americans out of jobs and was the start of a government involvement in economy.

The bombings where planned and led by the commander of the attacks on pearl harbour about 3 months earlier.

    On august the 6th, 1945, the United States let off a massive, atomic bomb in Hiroshima, japan. The atomic weapon was equivalent to 20,000 tons of TNT and this flattened the city of Hiroshima. The bomb killed tens of thousands civilians.
