On 8-18-1920 the 19th Amendment gave women the right to vote. It took women many years of fighting for equality and Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, and Lucy Stone were important figures in the women's rights movement. The Anti Suffragism fought against the women they thought they had to keep women in their place.
