After having executed Lady Jane Grey, Mary became Queen. She
was aged 37 when she was crowned.During her 5-year reign,Mary had over 208 religious dissenters burnt at the stake. -

Elizabeth I becomes Queen
Elizabeth was one of the most successful monarchs ever to sit in the English throne.
When Mary was still Queen,she thought Elizabeth was plotting against her, so she locked Elizabeth up in the Tower of London. Once Mary had died, Elizabeth took her place as Queen and became Elizabeth I. -

When Queen Elizabeth I died ,Tudor Monarchy was over.22 years later, in 1625, James I (VI of Scotland) would go on to become the first Stuart king.
