    The enlightenment was a philosophical movement characterized by scientific revolution. Enlightenment looked to destroy and replace the political power of the Catholic Church with freedom and equality for all.
  • Seven years war/ French and Indian war

    It was the first truly global war. British vs French because British wanted to expand the original 13 colonies, American Indians gave support to both French and British. (1756-1763)
  • Treaty of Paris

    The treaty of Paris ended the French and Indian war. The treaty stablished that France Would give up all of its territories in mainland North America, effectively ending any military threat in the British colonies There.

    The sugar act was a British Law Made by the Great Britain parliament in 1764 to raise revenue from the American colonists in all 13 Colonies. The sugar act made difference in the manufacture of rum in New England.

    The stamp act was the first tax on the colonies. The purpose of this tax is in order to help pay for the British military stationed in America.
  • Boston massacre

    Boston Massacre started when a young apprentice disrespects a soldier on duty outside the Customes House and ends with five dead colonists and six injured. This is used against the British military.

    It was a protest of British settlers in America, some activists got dressed as Mohawk Indians and boarded tea ships in Boston Harbor in order to throw casks of tea into the water.

    The British parliament provided King George III a repor of in that time the situation in New England and declared that the colony of Massachusetts was in a state of rebellion.
