Electric Typewriter
First Electric Typewriter introduced by IBM in 1935. I choose this at number 10 because it was the first electric typewriter and people were able to make documents with a pretty modern machine and it was starting to be used in offices. -
Z1 Calculator
The Z1 was a mechanical computer designed by Konrad Zuse from 1935 to 1936 and built by him from 1936 to 1938. It was a binary electrically driven mechanical calculator with limited programmability, reading instructions from punched tape. -
First Translator
People could now communicate somewhat without having to learn the language because of this translator so it connected the world and people more and knocked down the laguage barrier more. -
Portable Computers
The IBM 5100, the first commercially available portable computer, appeared in September 1975, and was based on the SCAMP prototype. Laptops were popular and companies like Apple would go on to revolutionize them in later years. -
Apple II is introduced
A very modern looking computer for that time that could do many things and was a big step foward from the Apple I and all other computers. -
The first Macintosh
Introduced during the Super Bowl Apple claimed this computer would change everything. -
Internet hosts breaks 100,000
Internet hosts breaks 100,000. This is important because people want to access the internet so they buy computers and this also makes computers more useful and more wanted making them even bigger to the world. -
Windows 95 is introduced
Windows 95 was a major success, and within a year or two of its release it had become the most successful operating system ever produced. It also had the effect of driving other major players (including OS/2) out of business. Three years after its introduction, Windows 95 was succeeded by Windows 98. -
iMac is released
iMac is released and is the start to many advanced computers by apple to come. -
Social networking
Myspace goes online shortly followed by Facebook which connects people through computers and has people wanting and getting computers to do social networking. Altough the site was created in 2001, Twitter doesnt become mainstream until after facebook and Myspace. -
iPhone
Even though there was already blackberries and hand helds out the iPhone revolutionized all of that and became and very popular device that is easily one of the most popular devices still today. -
iPad
Apple's first tablet computer was the Newton MessagePad 100, in 2010 the iPad came out revolutionizing tablets and becoming a very popular device
