Physical- Walking, getting into things, saying simple words. -
16-18 Months
Cognitive- Developing a sense of what they want to do. Getting close to the terrible 2's tantrums.
Physical- Motor skills are developing as they play, climbing, exploring. -
19-21 Months
Cognitive- Learning to be comfortable around new people, developing greater social skills.
Physical- Walking and getting around more without help, learning how to do things by themselves. -
22-24 Months
Cognitive- Knowing what's right and wrong, realizing what their actions mean.
Physical- Terrible 2's, fits, learning how to get away from the parents and doing their own thing. -
24-30 Months
Cognitive- Learning new words and correctly understanding you when you speak.
Physical- More coordinated, small motor skills are getting better. -
30-36 Months
Cognitive- Starting to read small books with pictures, interacting with other children around them.
Physical- Learning how to use the potty by themselves, large motor skills developing.
