  • Around 12:00 a.m. the captain recieves news that the Titanic can only stay afloat for a few hours. He also gives orders to send out help calls over the radio.

  • At 12:25 the order is given to begin to fill the lifeboats with women and children first.

  • At 12:45 the first lifeboat is lowered.

    This lifeboats can hold 68 people, but it only leaves the deck with 28 people.
