    The Battle of Heligoland Bight
    The Battle of Heligoland Bight was the first of many naval battles to occur in World War I. The conflict was between ships of the United Kingdom and the German Empire. The battle had been fought in the southern part of the North Sea and was won by the British as 2 officers had recognized the patterns of the German destroyers and cruisers which would allow them to plan a coordinated attack and be able to successfully sink 3 light cruisers and 1 destroyer as well as remove 1500+ German soldiers.

    The Germans had plans of tracking and destroying British ships with maneuvered surprise attacks with their newly developed U-boats that would be used to weaken the British naval dominance, however the British had deployed anti-U-boat measures by dropping mines into the English Channel to prevent them from advancing rapidly.

    The Battle of Dogger Bank
    The battle of Dogger Bank as meant to be a surprise attack by the Germans on the North Sea coast of Britain, but the plan was disrupted when the British were able to intercept and decode a signal containing said information. The British were ready for an attack and had deployed the British Grand Fleet to fend off the attacking Germans and in so were successful. The German squadron had not anticipated a counter and failed to retreat back to Germany and in the process lost the cruiser Blücher.

    The Gallipoli Campaign
    The Gallipoli Campaign served as a significant battle during World War I. As the Ottomans had recently allied with Germany in their war efforts, the Anglo-French alliance wanted to use the Dardanelles as a route to have Russians assist them on the Western Front. The battle on the coast of Gallipoli was mainly fought by the Ottomans and ANZAC troops. The Ottomans were well prepared and were able to wipe out the ANZAC troops with ease while not losing a single fort.

    The Battle of Jutland

    This battle was one that both sides had feared participating in due to its anticipated outcome. However, Germany's new admire, Von Scheer deployed a squadron of ships into the North Sea, either way, to draw out the British Grand Fleet. The battle was a bloodbath that saw both sides take major casualties with the British losing 14 ships and 6000+ lives and the Germans 9 ships and 2500+ lives. Both sides claimed victory.
