Tennis Court Oath was Taken

Storming of the Bastille

Slaves Begin to Rebel in St. Domingue
People who owned plantations would not grant men and women of color freedom, even after the Declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen was made, which became the start of many rebellions by the enslaved people. King Louis was killed because of how cruel he was to his nation. They got so angry they caught him trying to escape and not only killed him but ended up killing his wife soon after. Slavery Outlawed in French Colonies

The Directory Takes Control of France
The Directory was a 5 member committee responsible for governing all of France. A man named Jean-Jacques Dessalines conspired against L'Ouverture, and manages to capture him, and take over his country, but actually not being the worse leader you would think he would be. -
