  • Sugar Act of 1764

    Sugar Act of 1764
    The Sugar Act was formed to cut the duty of foreign molasses from 6-3 pence per gallon all while British government refined duty on foreign sugars, banning all alien rum in the process.
    This caused a negative impact for the colonists as it affected trade within the colonies, so colonists happened to boycott and protest as a response.

  • The Quartering Act

    The Quartering Act
    The Quartering Act was formed to allow British soldiers to be homed through quartering. Colonists reacted to this act through enragement, the way British government asserted their authority over the colonies. Out of texhuastion, colonists began to rebel.

    The Stamp Act of 1755
    The Stamp Act was created to help troops station in America's colonies during the Seven Years War. This affected Colonists due to the tax non-representatives in the Parliment that came with that, making the people rebel as a response

  • The Townshed Act

    The Townshed Act
    The Townshed Act paid the expenses that governed the American colonies. The government taxed glass, lead, paint, paper and tea.
    Colonists reacted by boycotting british goods and causing violent outbreaks. By submitting authority, British government used their power to search private property for smuggled goods.

    The Tea Act
    This Act was enected for tax breaks on tea products. Colonists boycotted drinking tea in hopes of no additional payment on these subjects.
