  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    A British proclamation to border the British and Native American territories in the Appalachian Mountians. The colonists were mad and greedy because of this, and did not listen.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    Aimed to stop the smuggling of sugar/molasses and add funds towards the French and Indian War. This caused protests and fights from the Americans.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    This was an act that added a tax to all paper documents in the colonies to pay off debts from the Seven Year War. The colonies did not believe they should have to pay taxes for the war and protested.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    This was an act passed on to enforce that all taxing authority was the same in America as it was in Great Britian.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    A series of rules that taxed all goods imported to the colonies. The colonies thought that this was abuse of power, but the British sent soldiers to continue reinforcing this law. The colonists started boycotting Great Britians goods.
