The Navigation Act
The Navigation Acts were rules to stop people from traveling for free this was the start of these terrible greedy acts and the colonists were beginning to get upset. -
The Currency Act
The Currency Act stopped people from using new bills outside of the Parliament. This caused tension within the confines of Colonial America and the British to strengthen greatly. -
The Sugar Act
The Sugar Act was a law passed by the Parliament; it made it so that the colonists would be charged 3 pence extra for every pound of Sugar bought, this caused a disturbance in the production of sugar-based products which angered the British. -
The Tea Act
The Tea Act granted the East India Company exclusive access to distribute tea freely and prosecuting anyone else distributing it. This caused the Colonists to purchase much less tea as a result. -
The Intolerable Acts
The Intolerable Acts was a group of 5 acts; Boston Port Act, Massachusetts Government Act, Administration of Justice Act, Quartering Act, and Quebec Act. These were done in response to the colonists getting mad about constant rules being places, surprisingly using more rules did not work.
