Timeline of My Life

  • Cracked my Head Open

    Cracked my Head Open
When I was little, I had to get staples in my head, because I cracked my head open. I was jumping from one bed, to another bed with my friend. I wasn't jumping fast enough, so he pushed me. My head went right into the wood frame that surrounded the bed, and I began to bleed. I felt dizzy, and on the way to my mom's hospital, my dad's best friend had to sit in the backseat and hold a towel to my head, to hold my head together.
  • Realizing I Was Alone

    Realizing I Was Alone
Freshman year. I was the girl going into high school with only two friends. I had two friends who at the time I thought were the best, and that they cared about me. That was until they turned on me. For no reason. They posted embarrassing pictures and embarrassing videos of me online. People were retweeting it, though it wasn't much to see, as I was already a loner and a weirdo. I closed the door on those friendships soon after. Only to later realize, those were the only friendships I had.
  • Warped Tour

    Warped Tour
When I was in my freshman year, bands, rock music, heavy metal music, and all types of music ordinary people would not enjoy, was something I loved. I loved music, and all kinds of it. I had begged and begged my parents to take me to Warped, and was on top of the world when my mom bought me the tickets and my dad agreed to take me. It was an experience like none other. Over 80 bands, from 10AM to 9PM, walking around all day and enjoying the music being so loud that the ground was shaking.
  • When My Brother Left

    When My Brother Left
When my brother, Bret, left for college, it was the first time I was an "only child". I was ecstatic to be without my annoying big brother. But a few months into this, I started feeling lonely. I still miss him. Being without my brother, it has me face my parents alone. When my parents fight, and my brother is home, he tells me to walk away, not get involved, and just keep my cool. When he's not home, I get involved and I end up getting in trouble. I miss him and can't wait for him to come home.
  • Joining Stage Crew

    Joining Stage Crew
My first show on run crew was Hello Dolly, at Brewster. I was on stage right crew, and I was one of the people you see during the blackouts during a scene change. I have horrible stage fright, so even moving set pieces in pitch black scared me, but it was a rush. It was putting effort into a production, and watching the show come together was the best feeling I had felt. Stage crew since then has been a very big part of my life. I surround myself with theater, and the people involved in theater.
  • When I Found My Friend Group

When I Found My Friend Group
Shortly after losing the only two friends I had, an activity striked my interest. I fell in love with stage crew. More importantly, I fell in love with the people there. Just like that, I had people. I had friends. Real friends, and a lot of them. Stage crew is a huge group of people doing something they all enjoy, which is no surprise we all got along so well. We started hanging out all the time, at our friends houses, at crew, and we even had a crew Thanksgiving!
  • Learning to Drive

    Learning to Drive
Getting my permit was something I had been excited for, for who knows how long. I'd even beg my dad to let me mow the lawn when I was younger because I wanted to drive something. Getting my permit was the first time I had been so excited about something in a long time. Driving felt natural to me. There were a few bumps, but it was always something I knew I could do, and always be something to say I was proud of. I was a great driver, and hearing it from my parents was a great accomplishment.
  • My First Broadway Show

    My First Broadway Show
My first time seeing a broadway show was one of the best experiences of my life. Seeing how people make a living out of the one thing I put my all into, is astonishing. Seeing how different broadway is from our school productions. How they use electronics to move their set, and the talent. It was a life-changing experience, and it makes me happier everyday to know that I am a tiny theater geek, who enjoys the same as broadway performers. To make the theater a place for people to feel at home.
  • Getting My First Job

    Getting My First Job
Getting a job was one of the things I had wanted to do since I was 14, unfortunately, many places don't start hiring until you are 16. I was ecstatic when I got my first job at Primark in Danbury, CT. I ws happy because I was getting sick of having to take and ask money from my parents. I feel much more independant and am feeling more grown up as the days go by. I pay for my own gas now, I pay for my clothes and makeup, and I like to treat my parents to dinner now and then to say thank you.
  • Deciding What I Want To Do

Deciding What I Want To Do
When I first realized what I wanted to do with my life, I was finally happy. I didn't need or want to go to college, it was something I grew up thinking I HAD to do, until I realized I always had an option. College was never for me, it was never going to be for me. Which is why I chose a career in Photography. Something I didn't need a college education for, and something I could enjoy doing with my life.
