Miguel Primo de Rivera borns
He was born the 8th January, 1870 in the Andalusian municipality of Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz. He was the son of Miguel Primo de Rivera y Sobremonte and Ines Orbaneja y Pérez de Grandallana. His was born in a military family in which his Grandfather was a military member such as his uncle. -

In 1882 he moved to Madrid to enter at the age of 14 in the Military academy. Then in 1893 he was assigned in Melilla. He later moved to some colonial states. -

Time in Colonies
He was designed in Cuba from 1895 to 1897 and he stayed there with two generals: Arsenio Martínez Campos and Fernando Primo de Rivera. Later Both Primo de Rivera went to The philippines to make some work there.
In 1909 he went to the War of Morocco. He got hurt in 1911 and he got ascended to general. Finally in 1915 he was named Military Governor of Cádiz. -
Miguel Primo de Rivera's coup d'etat
From this day to the 15th September 1923 Miguel Primo de RIvera supported by most of the military groups and also by the King Alfonso XIII. He started the coup d'etat in Barcelona. He proclaimed the state of war and he decided to go out with the military groups to control some of the most important buildings of the city. This also happened in Huesca and in Zaragoza. -

Dictatorship of Miguel Primo de Rivera
This Dictatorship is known for being the first time when Spain had an authoritarian nationalist government. It coincided with other authoritarian governments such as the Fascism in italy led by Benito Mussolini. It was also an unusual dictatorship because it was helped by the king at that moment Alfonso XII who aregged and helped Miguel Primo de Rivera to get the absolute power in Spain -

Primo de Rivera and The King Alfonso XII went to Italy to meet Benito Mussolini and discuss the Fascist movement and compare it with the movement that Miguel Primo de RIvera had had in Spain. When Both leaders of Spain came back from italy they were very well received. -
The disolution of the privincial councils
In this moment the provinces had no longer an own council. They were all controlled by the civil governor at the time. In this moment Miguel Primo de Rivera. This happened to all the provinces except for Álava, Vizcaya Guipúzcoa and Navarre. -

Miguel had a meating with the King Alfonso XIII and decided he will resign his power because he wasn't in the optimal conditions due to diabetes. -
Primo de Rivera dies
Two months after leaving the power for medical reasons he died the 16th March 1930 in Paris where he was exiled. He died because he had suffered a lot due to the diabetes he had and also he had passed a hard flu.
