Timeline of being healthy throughout LIFE

  • 20s

    20s
    -I will be sure to eat a healthy diet to reduce my risk of heart disease and other problems
    -I will exercise regularly and limit my fast food intake
    -I will not smoke and avoid illegal substances
    -I will be protecting my skin and eyes and keep good hygiene
    -Along with regular medical check-ups and gynecological exam
  • 30s

    30s
    -I will maintain a healthy weight because it will start to be a little more difficult to lose weight
    -I will eat a healthy diet that includes calcium, folic acid, and fruits and vegetables
    -I will get enough exercise and sleep
    -I will be sure to wear sunscreen and try to reduce stress
  • 40s

    40s
    -important time to start preventing health problems
    -chronic pain and stress will start to increase or might occur
    -I might have some sexual and reproductive health problems
    -I will get lots of check ups and make sure that I continue to take care of my body
  • 50s

    50s
    -I might have even more chronic health problems and start to feel older
    -I need to stay healthy by eating right and continue to be active
    -I will try to get enough sleep and drink alcohol only in moderation
    -I also will continue to get regular exams (physical, dental, ect.)
  • 60s

    60s
    -risk of health problems increase because of age, I will know all my warning signs
    -I will continue to eat healthy and exercise because maintaining a healthy weight is important
    -I will also continue to go to the doctor and get all the exams and vaccines that I need to stay healthy
