Sugar Act
The sugar act extended the molasses act. Which changed the taxes on imports from the carribean from 6 cents a gallon up to 3 cents per gallon.
The colonists were angry and protested, while crying out against taxation. -
Stamp Act
All printed material had to have a stamp, and was not free.
Colonies acted like a government, while boycotting. -
Declatory Act
Declaration by the British paraliament that accompanied the repeal of the stamp act.
Colonists brought upon there rights, while stating no taxing without representation. -
Townshed Act
Initiated tax on paper, paint glass and tea.
They stopped buying imported goods to not have to pay taxes on the goods. -
Tea Act
Tax exemptions and rebates.
Granted the British tea company a monopoly on tea sales in the American colonies.
The colonists dresses up as Indians while dropping 4million dollars in tea. -
