    Extracted revenue from the American colonies by imposing taxes on stamps, papers, and documents.
  • Formation of the Sons of Liberty

    Organization of American colonists to protest against the Stamp Act.
  • Declaratory Act

    Act of parliament of Great Britian that accompanied the repeal of the Stamp Act.
  • Townshend Acts

    4 acts passed by the British Parliament in attempt to assert their right to have authority of the colonists.

    shooting of 5 american colonists by British soldiers.
  • Tea Act

    the final straw in a series of unpopular policies and taxes imposed by Britain on her American Colonies
  • Boston Tea Party

    Protest against the british in Boston in which the Sons of Liberty threw tea overboard. This is important because it pushed them closer to war.
