Proclamation of 1763
This proclamation ended the Seven Years War officially by transferring the land from the French's possession to the British's -
Sugar Act
They raised taxes on sugary type products that were being brung to the colonies in America from the Caribbean. -
Currency Act
This act banned the action of printing money. -
Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was where the British put a seal on everything so they could get the money back from the war because they were broke. -
Quartering Act of 1765
This act made the people house the soldiers no matter if they wanted to or not. -
Declaratory Act
It was a declaration that was published but he British Parliament that went along with taking away the stamp act. -
Townshend Act
They put taxes on things such as paint, paper, tea, ect. In result they stopped buying British product. -
Boston Massacre
This was a riot that was set off because of colonists being killed. Because of this, they had a protest called the Boston Tea Party. -
Boston Tea Party
This was where they threw lots of tea into the ocean in order to protest. Because of this the government put new laws in place. -
Intolerable Acts
They put 4 laws in place in order to punish the colonists for being apart of the Boston Tea Party. These laws led to the American Revolutionary War. -
Quartering Act
The governor's would find buildings and homes to house the British soldiers. -
Quebec Act
This act let the French be able to get jobs by the government.
