    The French and Indian war that lasted from 1754 to 1763. It was known as the seven years war because the war lasted for seven years. This war started when the French expanded into the Ohio river valley where the British had land claimed there.

    Pontiac's Rebellion was about a bunch of American Indians surprised and captured most of the forts that belonged to the British in the Ohio river valley and the great lakes. They also raided settlements in western Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia.

    A document made by the British king ordering that all the colonist must remain east of the Appalachian Mountains. British troops were sent to burn down any cabin that were built by there but the colonist would just rebuild them but it made them angry because it prevented them from expanding.

    In 1764 the new prime minister George Greenvillie passed a act called the sugar act which lowered the duty on foreign molasses but it also created courts to catch smugglers. By doing this he hoped the colonist would pay the taxes on the items

    In 1765 Parliament passed another law called the Quartering Act.
    This act was letting British troops stay at colonist house after the French and Indian war. They would have to provide meals and do everything for the troops.
  • Stamp act

    This act had colonist pay taxes on all printed good such as papers,books,and court paper etc. This in fact was Parliament's first time imposing a direct tax with the colonist.
