  • Proclamation of 1763

    Proclamation of 1763
    Took/ reserved all the Western territory between Allegheny Mountains, Florida, and the Mississippi river and attempts to cut off American fur trade with Native tribes.
  • Currency Act

    Currency Act
    During the Currency act there was a shortage of currency and it made people think of printing their own paper money to look like bills. Even if the people were uncomfortable with the complexity of the system.
  • Sugar Act

    Sugar Act
    The sugar act was the first act passed by Parlaiment in order to raise money from colonies and to hopefully help with trade between colonies. The sugar Act was not good for the society because it caused economic depression, and it also did harm to trade and certain commerce in American Colonies.
  • Quarting act of 1765

    Quarting act of 1765
    The Quartering act was a law that said that British soldiers that were in their homes would be provided with necessities that they needed such as food, drinks, quarters, etc.
  • Stamp Act

    Stamp Act
    All paper documents and that were present in the colonies were taxed, meaning they would cost extra to the point where certain people could not afford them, because British colonies where in debt and were looking towards colonies for help out of debt, by taxing them daily, yearly.
  • Declaratory Act

    Declaratory Act
    After the stamp act American colonies grew upset and angry with British rule because of the control that they had over those colonies causing the American colonies to protest. Then British took full control over the colonies by passing this act.
  • Townshend Act

    Townshend Act
    The Townshend act was an act where goods that were imported into America were taxed. American colonies had no representation in parliament and those acts were seen as an abuse of power. Then troops were sent to America to enforce laws which leads to the American Revolution.
  • Boston Massacre

    Boston Massacre
    The Boston Massacre was a deadly riot between American Soldiers and British soldiers on king street in Boston. This all started because of the Stamp Act and Townshend Act. Then escalating to a messy and bloody brawl between both colonies.
  • Boston Tea party

    Boston Tea party
    The Boston Tea Party started by American colonist being angry at Britian for imposing "Taxation without representation". Then it continues with the American colonist dumping 342 chests full of tea imported by the Bristish east Indian company into the harbor. This was one of the biggest effects of British's rule over American colonies.
  • Quartering act of 1774

    The purpose of this act was so that the military could have better troops and provide housing for the soldiers, allowing them to have cleaner, more fitted quarters for the soldiers.
  • Intolerable Act (Coercive Act)

    Intolerable Act (Coercive Act)
    This whole act started by the Americans being given 5 laws passed by parliament in 1774, to basically punish the American colonist for the damage they did during the Boston Tea party.
  • Quebec Act

    Quebec Act
    The Quebec act was made so that American colonist had a chance to equal out the way they were treated when it came to Britian's rule over them, to also help America get closer to independence.
