In 1492 Christopher Columbus introduced the New World to Europeans conquest, exploration, and colonization that soon expanded. -
American Revolution
In 1770 the American Revolution began when Britain imposed a series of direct taxes followed by other laws to the Colony. The first battle of the American Revolution would be the Battle of Lexington and Concord where nobody knows who started the war. The American Revolution ended when the United States won the Battle of Yorktown. Which leaded to the signing of the Treaty of Paris 1793. United States became its own country. -
Industrial Revolution
When they improved their technology. The technology helped them improve their agriculture and transportation. Eli Whitney was the creator of the Cotton Gin. The Cotton Gin helped picking the seeds out of cotton way easier. Later on Eli Whitney created Industrial Parts that helped replace new parts. A while later James Watt improved the Steam Engine that helped Transportation improve. When he created the Steam Engine they needed a Steam Boat to help travel upstream. The Civil War
The Civil War broke out in California in Fort Sumpter. These were the differences of the North and South. The North was losing pretty bad until a genreral named Ulysses S. Grant helped us win the war. The most Famous battle of the Civil War would be the Battle of Gettysburg. After the North had won this battle Abraham Lincoln gave his famous speech the Gettysburg Adress. Later on Robert E. Lee surrendered to Grant at Appomattix Court House ending the Civil War. -
Home Again
My time eventually ended back home and I must say that it was the greatest experience of my life to be able to see all the historical events that took place.
