Time For Change In Europe
This was the time of the Crusades, and the form of power was split between the clergy, the noblemen, and the serfs. At the time the pope had the power and was at war with Muslims over land and trade. Colonization
The European empire wanted to find more gold and needed more land so they set out colonizers to explore other areas with gold, land, and other resources. One colonizer was John Smith who helped his group communicate with the Native Americans. The land had riches but the colonies just tried to survive during winter and fall and also explore the land. Colonial Tension
Between the colonies they all had a rough life trying to adjust, food was low, conditions were rough and people were sick. The tensions made them look for more land but crossed into the Native American land for control which led to a war that almost wiped the Natives out. (ignitia.com) -
The Revolutionary War
The revolutionary war started to declare freedom against Britain and English rule. The war was hard at first because the conditions were hard and the men were untrained and were farmers. George Washington went and trained the men and was very smart tactically, a German general came in and helped train them even more. The British started putting more taxes on the colonies and made them pay more for small things. The taxes made people anf]gry and caused many riots. The British eventually taxed tea and stamps which led to the Boston tea party and had people throwing out the tea into the sea. The President at the time of the Civil war was over slave and free states and over slave rights. The President at the time was Abraham Lincoln and he was against slavery. The Union was against slavery and the Confederate was the group that wanted slaves to stay as slaves. (ignitia.com) -
World War's
The first world war was about Germany trying to take over Europe. The U.S was not involved until the Germans started interfering with U.S ships. The war started with the Axis and Ally powers. The second world war involved Germany retaking what was lost. Japan joined Germany along with Italy but they bombed Pearl Harbor bringing in the U.S. The war was won by Europe, Russia, and the U.S but Japan wouldn't give up which led to two nukes being dropped. the Great depression
The great depression was one of America's biggest times of need. The economy at the time crashed leaving many people needing more and more money that the bank couldn't pay back. Then Roosevelt became President and instilled the new deal program. The new deal program had many acts and programs that got people money and saved people from being in a broke state. -
Cold War and Events After
The cold war was fought between Russia and the U.S over the spread of communism. Russia was trying to expand its communistic beliefs and the U.S did not like that. The cold war led to many smaller wars and nuke threats but ended with a truce. (ignitia.com)
