    PARADIGMS SHIFTING
This is doing community based education for parents and children of Aeta families devastated by the eruption of Mt Pinatubo. I remember Teacher Vilma, Marlo, Tina, Mylene...and most especially the families of Sitio Baguinon. Wokring with community members raised questions on community development needs vs program management.

A first time for me to manage curriculum delivery and monitoring and teacher training of daycare workers from communities in Region 3 provinces. This was some kind of awakening into the limitless possibilities of being and becoming a teacher in the Philippines.

I had two years of trying different methods to teach children with learning disabilities. Quite boggled with the Slingerland Approach which I find highly structured and prescriptive. It was in the other end of the specturm from where I was with a background of Whole language approach. There I was in a pendulum swing. This was also about teaching with more friends: Teacher Red (bestfriend), Teahcer Dina O (college friend), Teacher Mailin (new friend), Teacher Vic (next boyfriend).
