Queretaro Conspiracy
By this date some failed attempts for independence had already taken place, this led to a higher resentment. A group was formed in Queretaro which its leader was Ignacio Allende who had a great authority and good relationships. The consipiracy for the independece soon formed again and Miguel Hidalgo joined this conspiracy around this dates. -

Conspiracy revealed
Some of the Criollo officers who didnt want to join the independence movement betrayed averyone and alerted the Guachupines. Josefa, the Corregidor's wife informed the Criollos that they had been caught. Consequently Allende left Queretaro to inform their leader: Hidalgo -
Cry of Dolores
Hidalgo had to make a rapid choice after they had been caught with their conspiracies. He decided to take action on the dawn of this date and start the independence movement. This would become the "Cry of Dolores" one of the most important dates in Mexican History. -
March into Guanajuato
On this date Hidalgo and Allende reached Guanajuato looking to kill every Spaniard on their way. The Spanish were inside the Alhondiga de Granaditas trying to stay alive. El "Pipila" let the insurgents enter the building and and later take control of it and kill the peninsulares inside. -
Batalla en Monte de las Cruces
On this date the insurgent army led by Miguel Hidalgo faught aganst the Spanish army led by Torcuato Trujillo. This battle was faught close to Toluca in a place called Monte de Las Cruces. Hidalgo and the insurgent army left the battle victorious and opened a door to attack Mexico City. -
Calderon Bridge
Calleja, a Spanish army leader, caught up with Hidalgo and the rebel army who had already taken control of the Calderon Bridge. Callejas army was outnumbered but with good skills they won the battle. The rebel army fleed and as a consequence they couldnt get into the city. -
Hidlago is killed
Hidalgo was excecuted by a firing squad because he was guilty of heresy and treason. The Spanish put the dead body in Guanajuato to warn and scare the rest of the inurgent army. -
Battle of Temalaca
Another battle between the insurgent army and the Spanish royalists took place in Temalca, Puebla. The Royalists resulted victorious and caputed the insurgent army leader: Morelos. Morelos later was excecuted by the royalists. -
Plan de Iguala
Iturbide asked Guerrero to join his forces and try and finally attain independence. The army of The Thre Guarantees was formed with Iturbide in command. -
Independence
The Three Guarantees Army marched into Mexico city to declare independence. Independence was finally proclaimed a day later. Iturbide became the first political leader of Mexico.
