    The War of the Roses started. During this war two houses (York and Lancaster) fought for the English throne. The war ended in 1485 and Henry Tudor (Lancaster) won the war. He married Elizabeth of York.

    The Tudor era started in 1485. Henry VII became king of England. The era ended in 1603. Queen Elizabeth I died and was the last Tudor. She had no children.
