The three robotic laws that Asimov used to create his stories. He coined the word "robotics" in doing so. -

ENIAC was the first digital computer.It was created by John Mauchly and J. Presper Eckert. It was also fully programable. -
Tortoise
The first electronic autonomous robot was created 1948 by William Grey Walter because he wanted to simulate brain cells. They were capable of photo taxis.He named tortoises because they were slow and shaped like a turtle. -
Principles of cybernetics
Norbert W. formulates the principles of cybernetics, the basis of robots. -
Unimate
The first programmable robot was sold to GM by George Devol on 1954. It was the first commercial robotic arm. It helped carry hot metal to the assembly line. -
Whirlwind
It was the first computer with RAM. Created by MIT in 1955. Also incorporated real time graphics. -
TX-0
The first computer using transistors. -
PDP- 1
The first micro computer released by DEC. It had RAM and it could have 100,000 calculations per sec. -
Fuji Yusoki
The first palletizing-robot was created by the Fuji Yusoki Kogyo Company. -
Programma
The first mass market computer. It had a price of 3,200 US dollars. -
Wabot-1
This robot was able to communicate(in Japanese) walk and measure distances and directions to objects. It had artificial facial features. -
Turtles
The first teacher assistant robot was created on 1980. The were used as computer science tools on how to program. They used the LOGO language. -
ARPANET
It was the fore runner to the internet. It adopted TCP/IP and from there the researchers started the construction of the "web of webs". -
Bluetooth
It is a standard for short wireless connections. It sends information from fixed mobile devices. Invented by Swedish company Ericsson in 1994. -
Salvius
The first open source humanoid robot.Built in the US.
