Creation of IQ test
In 1905, the IQ test was created by Alfred Binet. It was created to determine what certain children needed attention individualized to them.

The IQ test came of use in the US
In 1916, the IQ test was standardized in the United States. It was adapted after, Lewis Terman, a Stanford University psychologist took the test. It later became used very frequently to establish a child's academics and abilities. -
Programs for children with disabilities became more common
In the 1940s, more programs for disabled children had been created more commonly. The programs were more private then regular educative programs you would see. In some states, the kids with the specific learning disabilities didn't have an opportunity to attend these programs. -
The supreme court 1958
The supreme court in Illinois finally agreed to offer a free education in public schools for special needs students. Students with special needs are not capable to learn as other students in general education setting. -
ESEA ACT (law 89-10)
The ESEA Act is the law that the federal government passes to improve the education for special needs students. By offering them reduced or free lunches daily at the school. This law supported mostly family with low income and offer more support in public schools -
Grant program
The ESEA program was revised in 1970 in order to support all the disabled students and allowed them to attend public schools. Also , the program offered the grants to support these students . -
Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act (Public Law 93-112)
This Act is against discrimination for protection of the disable students, All the students are equal and they all need to be treated and learned in the same way. -
Amendment of the 1986 Public Law (99-457)
This Act was passed by the Congress and President Regan. it helps the students with special needs to obtain all the support and all the services they need . -
Act (IDEA) of 1990 (Public Law 101-336)
This Idea ACT was made to replace EAHCA and added two new types of disabilities such as autism and traumatic brain injury.
Also, this act offer more special education services like Occupational therapy, speech therapy and social work.

Obama signs the ESSA
The ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) was signed on December 10, 2015 by former President Barack Obama. The law had fully defined the opportunity of a diploma for students with disabilities. It also highlights the idea of fairness and goes against bullying of those certain kids.
