First Earth Day
Even though Earth Day is usually held on April 22, the first Earth Day was held in Sanfransisco on March 21, 1970, celebrating the the first day of spring. Earth Day soon became popular around the world and was later signed by the UN that it would become an international holiday. -
The Kent State Shootings
The Kent State Shootings occurred at Kent State University in the U.S. city of Kent, Ohio. Students were protesting about the Anerican Invasion of Cambodia and had gathered around the campus. Eventually the protests got out of hand and the Ohio National Guard came in to take control of the protests. The gaurdsmen shot 67 rounds in 13 seconds killing four and wounding 9 others, one of which who is now paralized. -

PONG was Created

Patty Hearst Kidnapped
Patty Hearst was an actress from Sanfransisco who was kidnapped in 1974 by the Symbionese Liberation Army. The SLA wouldnt let her go until her father donated seventy dollars of food to every needy Californian. On April 3, 1974, a recording was released that Patty had joined the SLA under the name of Tania. Afterwards she robbed a bank and was arrested. -
Nixon Resigns
On August 9, 1974, Richard Nixon resigned from office. After the Watergate Scandal, he was almost certain he was to be impeached. With his election, his vice president Gerald Ford, who was elected after previous vice president Spiro Agnew resigned, became president therefore becoming the first president in office without any votes from the electoral college. -

Legionnaire's Disease is caused by Legionella pneumophila, an aquatic organism which is caused by inhaling them. This sickness causes high fevers and pnemonia. Legionnaires' disease acquired its name in July 1976 when an outbreak of pneumonia occurred among people attending a convention of the American Legion in Philadelphia. 182 people are infected and 29 are killed. -

Louise was born in Oldham, UK weighing only five pounds twelve ounces.
