  • The Seven Years War

    The Seven Years’ War also known as the French and Indian War lasted from 1756 to 1763. George Washington was the general that lead the men and himself to fight in the battle against the French. The battle lasted for 9 years but was known as the "Seven Years War".
  • Treaty of Paris

    The Treaty of Paris was signed on September 3, 1783. The Treaty ended the American Revolutionary War between the United States and Great Britain. The treaty also granted the thirteen colonies political freedom.
  • Stamp Act Congress

    The Stamp Act Congress happened in October 1765. The Stamp Act Congress included nine colonies that came together to consider a answer to the Stamp Act. After a while the Stamp Act was passed, which required all paper and legal documents to be stamped.
  • Sons of Liberty

    Sons of Liberty was an American colonial group created in the Thirteen Colonies. This organization was used to protest against the Stamp Act that occurred in 1765. The organization was also used for freedom and liberty.
  • Sugar Act

    The Sugar Act was a law passed by the Parliament of Great Britain on February 6th, 1765. The Sugar Act was created and use to raise revenue (income). The act taxed wine, coffee, cambric, molasses and sugar of course.
  • Quartering Act

    On March 24, 1765 the British Parliament passed the Quartering Act.The Quartering Act was one of many events that caused the American Revolution. This act required the American Colonies to provide food and housing for the British soldiers stationed in their colonies.
  • Stamp Act

    The Stamp Act began on March 22, 1765 which was passed by the British Parliament. The Stamp act taxed legal documents, newspapers, playing cards and more. The taxes that were collected from the American Colonies was used to protect the American frontier.
  • Townshend Acts

    The Townshend Act began in June 1767 but, ended March 1770. This act was used to stop taxes on glass, paper, tea and more imported into the American Colonies. When the act was cancelled everything was still taxed except tea which made colonist angry.
  • Boston Massacre

    The Boston Massacre was an incident that occurred on March 5, 1770. It all started as a snowball but, ended with guns being fired and multiple people killed. During this terrible incident 5 million out of 20,000 American civilizations were either wounded or killed.
  • Boston Tea Party

    The Boston Tea Party took place on December 16th, 1773. This was a protest against the British by the American Colonists because of the taxes that were put on tea. American Colonist were so angry that they threw multiple barrels of tea into the Boston Harbor.
